These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the PitchMate website, mobile application and related services (collectively referred to as “PitchMate”).

By creating an account, accessing or using PitchMate, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you should not use PitchMate.

1. About PitchMate

PitchMate is an independent software project created and operated by Grant Alexander.

PitchMate is designed to help motorhome owners organise journeys, manage maintenance, track important vehicle information and simplify motorhome ownership through digital tools and services.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use PitchMate.

By registering, you confirm that:

  • the information you provide is accurate;
  • you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms; and
  • you will keep your account information up to date.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password.

You agree to:

  • keep your login credentials secure;
  • notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised;
  • ensure that any information you provide remains accurate and up to date.

You are responsible for all activity carried out using your account.

4. Subscription Services

PitchMate may offer free and paid subscription plans.

Subscription features, pricing and billing arrangements may change over time and will always be displayed clearly before purchase.

Where recurring subscriptions are offered:

  • payments will renew automatically unless cancelled;
  • you may cancel your subscription at any time;
  • cancellation will normally take effect at the end of your current billing period.

No refunds are provided unless required by UK consumer law.

5. Early Access & Beta Features

PitchMate may include features that are released as Early Access or Beta functionality.

These features may:

  • change without notice;
  • contain bugs or incomplete functionality;
  • be withdrawn or replaced.

We welcome feedback from Early Access users to help improve the platform.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use PitchMate for any unlawful purpose;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service;
  • interfere with the operation or security of the platform;
  • upload malicious software or harmful code;
  • attempt to copy, reverse engineer or exploit the software.

Accounts that breach these Terms may be suspended or terminated.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of any information you add to PitchMate, including but not limited to:

  • journeys and itineraries;
  • maintenance records;
  • checklists;
  • notes;
  • photographs;
  • vehicle information;
  • uploaded documents.

You grant PitchMate permission to store and process this information solely for the purpose of providing the service.

We do not claim ownership of your personal content.

8. Intellectual Property

PitchMate, including its software, branding, logos, design, graphics, written content and functionality, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or commercially exploit any part of PitchMate without prior written permission.

9. Availability

We aim to keep PitchMate available at all times.

However, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and may suspend the service for:

  • maintenance;
  • security updates;
  • technical improvements;
  • unexpected outages.

We are not liable for temporary interruptions beyond our reasonable control.

10. Information & Guidance Disclaimer

The information, suggestions and guidance provided by PitchMate are intended for general informational purposes only.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • AI-generated assistance and recommendations;
  • packing suggestions and checklists;
  • journey planning;
  • travel time and distance estimates;
  • campsite and location information;
  • maintenance reminders;
  • vehicle information;
  • weather-related information;
  • fuel, toll or route estimates.

While we make reasonable efforts to provide helpful and accurate information, we cannot guarantee that all information will always be accurate, complete, current or suitable for your individual circumstances.

Users remain responsible for making their own decisions and should independently verify any important information before acting upon it.

11. Safe Travel & Vehicle Responsibility

PitchMate is designed to assist motorhome owners but does not replace your own judgement, vehicle inspections or professional advice.

You remain solely responsible for:

  • ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy;
  • complying with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • checking vehicle dimensions, weights and restrictions;
  • planning safe routes;
  • confirming campsite availability;
  • carrying appropriate equipment;
  • ensuring that packing lists are suitable for your particular journey.

PitchMate should never be relied upon as the sole source of information when making travel or safety-related decisions.

12. Third-Party Services

PitchMate may integrate with trusted third-party providers including payment processors, analytics providers, cloud hosting platforms and mapping services.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

13. Availability of the Service

We aim to keep PitchMate available and operating reliably at all times. However, uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

From time to time, the service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, software updates, security improvements, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the PitchMate service where necessary to improve, maintain or protect the platform.

14. AI-Generated Content

PitchMate may provide AI-generated suggestions, recommendations, summaries, checklists and other helpful information to assist with planning and managing your adventures.

AI-generated content is provided for general guidance only and may not always be accurate, complete or up to date.

You remain responsible for independently verifying important travel information, vehicle specifications, campsite availability, maintenance guidance, legal requirements, safety advice and any other information before relying upon it.

PitchMate accepts no liability for any loss, damage or inconvenience resulting from reliance upon AI-generated content.

15. Limitation of Liability

PitchMate is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis.

Whilst we take reasonable care to provide accurate, reliable and secure services, we do not guarantee that PitchMate will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every individual purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PitchMate shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss, damage, injury, expense or inconvenience arising from or relating to:

  • reliance on information generated or displayed by the platform;
  • AI-generated responses, recommendations or suggestions;
  • inaccurate travel times, route information or distance estimates;
  • incorrect maintenance reminders or vehicle information;
  • campsite availability or third-party information;
  • technical interruptions, outages or delays;
  • software bugs, unexpected errors or data loss;
  • decisions or actions taken based on information provided by PitchMate.

Nothing within PitchMate should be interpreted as professional mechanical, legal, financial, insurance, engineering, road safety or other professional advice.

Users remain solely responsible for verifying important information and for ensuring that their vehicle, journey plans and travel arrangements are appropriate for their individual circumstances.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded under the laws of Scotland or the United Kingdom, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Where changes are significant, we will notify users through the website, application or email where appropriate.

The latest version will always be available on this page.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.

Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
